The Catbird Seat.
So, thanks to the gifts from so many friends new and old, and my wonderful family, I had the best meal of my life (so far) last night at The Catbird Seat.
To learn more about TCS, here's their website: https://thecatbirdseatrestaurant.com/ and here's their yelp: http://www.yelp.com/biz/the-catbird-seat-nashville
And here's what we ate...
Snack: Hot Chicken
Snack: Moon Shoal Oyster + Pepper Relish + Sorrel, Goats Milk Brioche + Watermelon + Lardo, Caesar

Chicken Liver, Cheerwine, Fried Chicken Skin, Pickled Watermelon, Boiled Peanuts
Another snack that didn't make it onto my printed menu. This was a slice of sturgeon over potato with a potato glaze.

Pigeon, Onions, Blueberries
No more pigeon.
Wagyu Ribeye, Matsutake Mushrooms, Yukon Potatoes, Fermented Kohlrabi, Pine Syrup Sauce
A close-up of the ribeye after I was half-done.
The cheese course.
Ewes milk cheese, mushroom
Blue Corn Whiskey + Muscadine White Wine + Sweet Vermouth
Buttermilk Ice Cream, Corn Bread, Concord Grape

I don't want to comment on the food, but we cleaned our plates, and it was worth every penny. A special occasion place that really focuses on its craft. I hope to come back again and suggest you make a reservation as soon as you can!
